Member of the General Committee be present, or if all the Members of the General Committee present decline to take the chair, then the Members of the Club shall choose one of their number to be Chairman.
51. The General Committee may also convene Extraordinary General Meetings of the Club, specifying in the notice convening the meetings the object or objects for which the meeting is called and to which the discussion must be strictly confined.
52. The General Committee shall also call an Extraordinary General Meeting, under the same con- ditions and restrictions, upon the written requisition of any ten then resident Members, such requisition, with the notice convening the meeting, to be posted in a conspicuous place in the Secretary's Office.
53. Nothing in these Articles shall be altered or varied, nor shall additions be made thereto, except at an Extraordinary General Meeting composed of not less than ten Members to be convened specially for that purpose.
Quorum at Meetings.
54. At all General Meetings, other than a meeting convened under the last preceding Article, ten Members shall constitute a quorum.
55. At any meeting (unless a poll is demanded by any five Members then present) à declaration by the President of the Club (or other the person taking the chair in his stead) that a resolution has been carried, or carried by a particular majority, or lost, or not carried by a particular majority, shall be conclusive.
